Hi! Happy New Year!!!!
I finished the 2015 drawing. I made a mandala for Christmas, you can see two versions, painted and not. Also made a line work that you can paint whatever you want, my husband is painting it in black and white, I painted one with colors and white… I know, this is tipically a classroom project, but why all the fun is for children! I think that if you like to do something childish and fun like drawing, painting or even coloring pages YOU DON’T NEED PERMISSION and it helps release stress.

This one was downloaded and printed from www.thaneeya.com and then I painted it using my copic markers.

See you soon!

Hi! Did you miss me? I certainly miss writing. These past months were really busy for me. As I told you I’m a chemist and I’m starting my PhD so I have to assist to different courses and my bosses didn’t have better idea than make an intensive one… so I was living practically at work and reading a lot of papers and books. That’s why I disappear this time.
I painted a lot these past months, and I have a large post about it but It is unfinished. I promise to publish it soon, with a lot of tips I learned.
This post is for show you a bunch of old work of mine that I like and I didn’t publish yet. This way you don’t miss me so much!!
Hope you like them and see you soon!

Hi! As I told you last time this past week I was in vacation!!!! I spent this time painting wooden boxes (post coming soon) and drawing a little. Here are the results!

These two are patterns that I don’t see normally used in mandalas or tangles but I think they are gorgeous and wanted to make a full page of them to see how nice they are, so I hope that you think the same and start to use them! They are very detailed and required a lot of time each page.
And I missed doing compositions so here is a mandala (My husband’s son is going to paint it) and a tangle just for the fun!

As usual all was made with my rotrings and alcohol ink markers (kurecolor and copics).
Well that’s all for now, hope you like it.
see you soon

Hi!! I’m back with more patterns and practices. As i told you last time is nice to fill the pages with the same pattern, for me is relaxing. I’m with the semester’s end rush and have little time for drawing so I end up sitting in my drawing table with a glass of wine and a marker for a couple of minutes each time.
I hope to have the time to make a more complex drawing this week. And I have some vacation time coming in July so I would be uploading some works soon.
In the meanwhile I was brainstorming how to organize my art supplies and next time I will show you my first attempt at wood painting
So Enjoy the patterns and see you soon

Hi again! These past weeks I was super busy so I couldn’t write but this doesn’t mean i didn’t draw. I used this time to make pages (A4 size) of single patterns, why? simple, practice and to see how they look in bulk. Sometimes you have this vision of the pattern, but to learn it you just use a 3 x 3 block, and you can lose the visual effect of the pattern. On the other side I can practice my drawing skills. One thing I have learned since drawing mandalas is that drawing is a skill you can master, only needs time and patience… So it’s Difficult for adults, we usually don’t have hours and want results immediately… So my advice don’t lose your calm, start simple and do a lot of practice, after a time you will notice the difference between your first drawings and your newest ones. That’s why the tutors always recommend the use of journals or sketchbooks so you can look them as timeline.
I talk and lose my focus! What I want to share with you today are my last pages of patterns, I like them and hope you like them too.
There’s more coming soon

This one is already painted

Hi! Today i stayed at home so i drew and painted a lot. These are the works I made today.
The first one was started on sunday and finished today. I used stilographs and a 4B pencil.

In the afternoon I wanted to use my copic and kurecolor markers so I made a mandala and then painted it. Both versions are available. Would you paint one and upload it? Comments section below, hint, hint.

These are a few of my first mandalas, they’re simple and geometrical but are excellent to paint. Sometimes i don’t want to draw, only paint so i use one of these.

these two were drown in A4 sheets and the one below was drown in a 35×50 cm sheet

Hi! This is the very first mandala I made. Never had the courage to paint it. You can see that is very geometrical and has a lot of mistakes. Later i learned to not use thick markers and use rotrings instead, darker ink.
For this mandala I used stadler markers, compass and rulers.
